Victoria has been working in oil paint since 2007 and loves the fluidity of the medium! She describes her style in this medium as impressionistic. Victoria works from photographs that she has taken herself, with the composition in mind for a painting. Working in series, of generally three paintings at a time, Victoria limits her palette to the three primary colors and mixes all other colors from those three. Below are paintings from her Red Roofs of Cortona series, her Sunset at Pullen Park series, her Asiatic Lilies series, her Scuba diving series, and her Siler City Siding series. Also shown here are other paintings from her Italian trip, her Spring Garden series, Boulder, Colorado trees, still life's, and her Portrait series, as well as a view from the pier at Atlantic Beach, NC. Victoria was commissioned to do the home portrait below for Christmas of 2013. The pink images are from Victoria's "Abstract Comforter" series. Victoria has most recently completed the three floral paintings.

The works below are abstract images of Victoria's down comforter from her series "Southern Comforter" which she painted while looking at the abstract photographs she took of the comforter at an earlier date. The photographs can be viewed in their own category on this website. These are her first effort at painting in abstraction with oils on canvas and she loved the way the images, done in reds instead of the natural white color of the inanimate comforter, seem to imitate organic forms.
