Foil Relief Etchings:

Recently, Victoria has been exploring working with foil relief etchings and incorporating positive phrases and words into her work. Her work overall, tends to be positive. This is deliberate. The foil relief works are both visually and tactility textured in nature. The pieces involve three main processes in creation, which include building up the relief surface, etching the foil surface, and burnishing the surface of the work after it has been etched.  Foil relief etching has proven an exciting medium for her. Foil offers the gift of reflection which can offer surprises. The work may vary in its appearance depending on the light under which it is viewed, as well as by the colors which surround it. Victoria sees much potential for future creations in this medium.

The images here are details of her works entitled "Star light Star bright"; "Peace be with You";  "How does Your Garden Grow?"; "Love one Another" and "Boogie-Woogie...Dance!";  "There is a Season";  "If I had the Sun and Moon...." ;  "Here Comes the Sun!"; and "Nobody Knows how my Love Grows!"
