Between the years 2000 and 2004, Victoria created a black and white photo series entitled "Chairs,Stairs and Barriers". The series is a metaphor for who, or what, the chairs, stairs and barriers in our lives might represent. The photos were all taken on Bald Head Island, a small barrier island off the southern coast of North Carolina. Victoria loves all photography, but particularly loves the way a black and white photo highlights light and dark contrasts, and exposes the detail of an image or scene, in a way a color photograph does not, or cannot.
